Use Shot List to plan requested shots and image priorities for the wedding day.
What belongs in Shot List
Use Shot List for images that need to be remembered, tracked or linked to the Timeline.
Good shot list items include:
- must-have ceremony moments
- requested family photos
- couple portraits
- key reception moments
- photo or video priorities
- details that should not be missed
Do not use Shot list as a generic inspiration dump. Keep it useful for the day.
Priorities
Shot List priorities help you decide what to photograph first:
- Must have: missing this would be a real problem.
- Nice to have: useful inspiration, but not critical.
Steps
- Open the project.
- Go to Shot List.
- Review any Intake suggestions.
- Review the shots grouped under their Timeline moments.
- Click Add shot under a Timeline moment to link a new shot there immediately.
- Use Add shot under Anytime shots when you have deliberately decided that timing does not matter.
- Enter the title, choose Must have or Nice to have, and add Notes when useful.
- Save the shot.
You can also open a Timeline moment, open Linked shots in Moment details and choose Add shot. The new shot is linked to that moment immediately.
Unassigned shots contains existing shots that have not been linked to a Timeline moment yet. This can happen after applying a template, adding a Wedding details suggestion or removing a Timeline moment.
Intake suggestions
Submitted People & group photos and Moments & priorities answers can create Shot List review suggestions. They are not added automatically.
After you add a suggestion, you can edit its title, priority, Notes and private notes, then link it to a Timeline moment or Anytime. You can still open the original Wedding details answer.
How shots connect to the timeline
Assigned shots are grouped underneath their Timeline moments. Use Link shots to timeline moments when an Unassigned shot belongs to a specific part of the day.
Anytime means you want the shot to remain flexible. Unassigned means the shot has not been linked to a Timeline moment yet.
When no usable Timeline exists, Unassigned shots remain available but cannot be assigned until you create or apply a Timeline.
Where shots appear later
Shots can appear in On The Day and Share / Print. Private notes are for you and are not included when you share or print the plan.
