Review Intake suggestions in Shot List

Wedding Desk is currently in alpha. Access is limited to a very small invited test group while core workflows are still incomplete. These guides describe what is available now; the broader beta has not started yet.

What this article covers

Submitted People & group photos and Moments & priorities answers can create review suggestions in Shot List. The photographer decides what becomes part of the working Shot List.

Questionnaire and Style notes do not create this suggestion workflow.

People & group photos suggestions

Wedding Desk can propose:

  • groups explicitly requested by the couple
  • recommended family combinations
  • optional combinations
  • wedding-party combinations
  • group-photo planning notes
  • people marked Photograph early
  • private keep-apart conflicts that require review

Requested, recommended and optional groups remain separate so you can judge their importance. Planning notes can include a selected group-photo helper, general notes or a reminder that private family information needs review.

Moments & priorities suggestions

Selected standard moments become requested suggestions. A submitted special moment becomes a special request. A submitted must-not-miss note becomes a high-priority must-have request.

The first-look choice creates a first-look suggestion only when the submitted answer is Yes.

Review the suggestions

  1. Open the project.
  2. Go to Shot List.
  3. Review Moments & priorities and the People & group photos sections.
  4. Use Add to Shot List or Accept for a suggestion you want to keep.
  5. Use Reject or Ignore when you do not want it.
  6. Review private keep-apart warnings before accepting or keeping a family group.

Nothing is accepted automatically.

After acceptance

An accepted suggestion becomes a normal, editable Shot List item with Intake provenance. You can:

  • edit it
  • change its priority
  • link it to a Timeline moment
  • leave it unassigned
  • keep it as an Anytime shot when appropriate
  • use it later in On The Day or shareable output when its visibility permits

The submitted Intake answer remains available as the source.

When Intake changes later

Wedding Desk does not silently overwrite accepted Shot List work when the couple changes or removes an answer.

Depending on the situation, Shot List may offer:

  • Apply Intake update
  • Keep current item
  • Remove from Shot List
  • Restore from Intake
  • Keep removed

Photographer-edited fields stay unchanged when an Intake update is applied. Private keep-apart conflicts always require deliberate review.

Timeline placement is separate

Accepting a suggestion does not place it in the Timeline.

Supported accepted Moments & priorities items may offer a direct link, a choice between compatible moments or Add to Timeline. A submitted special moment can offer a custom Timeline addition. A general must-not-miss request can link to a suitable existing moment, but it does not automatically create a scheduled moment.

Continue with Link shots to timeline moments.
