What On The Day is
On The Day shows the plan you already prepared in a layout designed for use during the wedding: what is happening now, what comes next and which shots belong to this moment.
Before the day
Open On The Day to see the wedding date, the first moment and a preview of the full day. The page also shows missing times or locations and the gear that is not packed yet. When you are ready, choose Start under Day controls. Starting also saves the plan as it stands, so timing changes during the day can be compared against it.
Want to practice first? Choose Test run. You can click through the whole day; everything is cleared again the moment you stop the test. A test run is only available before the day starts, so real progress is never wiped.
During the day
The large card always shows the moment that matters right now, with its time, location, note and shots. Current shot is the shot to take next; choose Shot done to check it off and move to the next one. Beside it, This moment lists every shot of the moment, so you can also tick them in any order. If the moment has a note, it stays in view on the card while you work, and you can put it away with Hide note.
Below the card, the Day timeline shows the day in its parts. The part you are in is open; tap another part to see its moments, or choose Show the full day. Finished moments read as done, and you can tap any moment to start it by hand, whether or not it has shots.
- Choose Next moment or Start next moment when you move on earlier or later than planned. On The Day records the real times and shows how far you are ahead of or behind the plan.
- Day progress counts the moments that are done and the must-have shots that are still open. A moment counts as done when you move past it, even if some of its shots stayed open; the open shots stay counted until you catch them.
- Anytime shots are not tied to a moment. Tick them from the list whenever they happen.
On a phone the same things are there in one column: the clock and the day progress at the top, the moment card under them, then the day timeline and the same lists.
Day controls
The Day controls block holds every control of the day, before, during and after:
- Wrap up ends the day and shows what is still open.
- Pause leaves the live view. Everything you ticked stays; the card shows Paused until you choose Resume.
- Start over clears every tick and starts the day again at its first moment, after a confirmation. The timeline, the shot list, your notes and the gear are untouched.
- Test run practices the day before it starts.
Adjust timing
Choose Adjust timing when the day runs late or early. Pick which moments should move, set the change per minute, and read the line that tells you how many moments will move. If a change would run a moment into the next one, On The Day says so and offers Move the rest too, which moves all later moments along instead. Nothing moves until you choose Apply change. If you are behind, the suggestion is filled in for you.
Day notes
Enter a short note and choose Add note. Day notes stay in the project; they do not send a message to anyone.
Wrap up
Choose Wrap up after the last moment. You see the must-have shots that are still open, so you can catch them before leaving, and a short summary of the day. You can always go back to the live day.
When the Timeline is not ready
If the project has no usable timed Timeline, On The Day shows Build the timeline first and links to Wedding Timeline. Add start times and key locations there.
