Link shots to timeline moments so they appear in the right part of the wedding-day plan.
When to link a shot
Link a shot when timing matters.
Examples:
- ceremony kiss belongs to Ceremony
- requested family photos belong to Family photos
- reception room details belong before guests enter the room
- speeches belong to Speeches
- first dance belongs to First dance
- golden hour portraits belong to the portrait moment
Do not link every optional inspiration shot if it makes the plan harder to scan.
Steps
- Open the project.
- Go to Shot List.
- Find the shot under Unassigned shots.
- Use Choose Timeline moment.
- Select a Timeline moment or Anytime.
- Use the Assign action for the shot.
The shot moves immediately. There is no separate Save action.
Anytime and Unassigned
Choose Anytime when the shot can happen whenever the opportunity appears.
Unassigned means the shot has not been linked to a Timeline moment yet.
Choose the Timeline moment where the shot should appear. You do not need to select the section, category or time separately.
When the Timeline is missing
Unassigned shots remain visible. Choose Timeline moment is unavailable, Wedding Desk shows Create or apply a Timeline before assigning shots, and Open Timeline takes you to Wedding Timeline.
If the selected moment is hidden or removed before you confirm, the shot stays Unassigned.
What happens after linking
The shot moves under the selected Timeline moment. Linking it does not change its title, priority, Notes, private notes or completed status.
Linked shots can appear in On The Day and Share / Print. Their private notes are not included when you share or print the plan.
From the Timeline Board, Link shot opens Linked shots in Moment details. You can add or review shots there, and update their vendor and gear assignments when needed.
How this helps on the day
This lets you see the relevant shots beside each Timeline moment.
This is especially useful for family photos, ceremony moments, speeches and reception highlights.
