Wedding Desk is currently in beta. These guides describe the workflows that are available now. Some articles are still being expanded with fuller instructions, screenshots and video.
What this article covers
Use date, time and currency settings to make Wedding Desk match how you normally work with clients and internal planning.
Currency
Currency affects how pricing information is displayed in calculator and quote-related screens. Set this before building serious quotes in the price calculator.
Currency does not process payments. It only affects display and calculation context.
VAT or tax
VAT or tax fields help the calculator show tax-related quote information. They do not replace accounting advice and they do not file taxes for you.
If you use VAT or tax in the calculator, also read Currency, VAT and payments in the calculator.
Date and time
Date and time settings affect how project dates, deadlines and timeline times are shown. Use the format you normally use with clients, second shooters and collaborators.
Steps
- Open Preferences.
- Choose the default currency.
- Review VAT mode, VAT rate and VAT label.
- Choose the date format.
- Choose the time format.
- Set which day the week starts on.
- Click Save.
What happens after saving
Wedding Desk stores these as workspace defaults. The settings can support calculator screens, project planning, timeline review and date/deadline views.
Tips & suggestions
- Use the same time format you use in your client communication.
- Review currency before saving project calculator work.
- Keep VAT settings aligned with your real business practice.
