Wedding Desk is currently in beta. These guides describe the workflows that are available now. Some articles are still being expanded with fuller instructions, screenshots and video.
What this article covers
Use time shifting when a schedule change should move later timeline moments with it.
When to use time shifting
Use time shifting when a fixed anchor changes and the rest of the plan should follow.
Examples:
- ceremony starts 15 minutes later
- family photos take longer than planned
- reception entrance moves later
- travel takes longer than expected
Do not use time shifting if only one moment changed and the rest of the plan should stay fixed.
Steps
- Open Wedding Timeline.
- Open the timeline moment whose time changed.
- Update the Start time or End time.
- Use Move following moments if later moments should shift with it.
- Review the affected moments.
- Click Save changes.
What happens after saving
Wedding Desk updates the timeline timing. If following moments were moved, later parts of the day may also move.
What to check after a time shift
After shifting time, review:
- ceremony and reception anchors
- family photo time
- portrait window
- travel or buffer moments
- dinner and speeches
- coverage end time
- Share / Print output
Use Prepare the timeline for the wedding day after a major shift.
Tips & suggestions
- Shift from the first moment that caused the delay.
- Do not shift the whole day if only one small moment changed.
- Review vendors, shot links and gear links if timing changed significantly.
