Use the dashboard

What this article covers

Use the dashboard to find active projects, start new work and open the next project that needs attention.

What you see on the dashboard

The top of the dashboard highlights one project. It is headed Next Wedding for the closest upcoming wedding, Latest Wedding when every wedding is in the past, or Project to review when the project has no date yet.

Next to it, Next suggested step names the work to pick up and Next key date shows the date coming up.

Below that, the project cards list your other weddings with their date and location. Archived projects are not shown.

Quick actions

The Quick actions panel holds Start new project, Help & support and, when the business tools are part of your plan, Open calculator for a quote without opening a project.

The same condition applies to the Revenue panel, which totals gross revenue this year so far, projected revenue this year and gross revenue last year.

Two rules decide what those totals include. A project still marked Lead is never counted, and a project priced in a different currency than your account default is left out instead of converted. The panel names how many projects it skipped for that reason, so an unexpectedly low total usually means a project is still a lead or uses another currency.

Steps

  1. Open the dashboard.
  2. Read the highlighted project and its Next suggested step.
  3. Use the project cards to find another wedding.
  4. Open a project to continue planning.
  5. Use Start new project for a new wedding.

What happens when you open a project

Wedding Desk opens Project Overview, where you can see what is ready, the next suggested step and links to the parts of the project that need attention.
