What this article covers
Project status is the label you set yourself to say where a wedding stands commercially. You choose it in Project details; Wedding Desk never changes it for you.
The four statuses
- Lead for an enquiry you have not booked yet.
- Booked for a confirmed wedding you are not actively planning yet.
- Active for the wedding you are working on now.
- Archived for work that is finished and does not need your attention.
What Archived does
Archived is the only status that changes what you see. An archived project is hidden from the dashboard list and from the active date views, which keeps finished weddings out of the way.
That is also the first thing to check when a project seems to have disappeared. See I cannot find a project.
Status is not readiness
Status says nothing about whether the plan is finished. A Booked project can have a complete Timeline and an Active one can be empty.
Use Ready for the day and Next suggested step for the practical work that still needs attention, and status for sorting your weddings.
