Wedding Desk is currently in beta. These guides describe the workflows that are available now. Some articles are still being expanded with fuller instructions, screenshots and video.
What this article covers
Save a project timeline as a template when you want to reuse its structure for another wedding.
When to save a template
Save a template when a project has a repeatable structure, not just a finished client plan.
Good reusable templates are based on coverage type, ceremony type, location complexity or your normal working style.
Before you save
Review the timeline and remove project-specific details that should not be reused:
- client names
- private notes
- exact venue-only details
- one-off timing issues
- unique family context
- vendor-specific notes
Steps
- Open the project timeline you want to reuse.
- Review the timeline moments.
- Remove or edit client-specific details.
- Click Save as template.
- Name the template clearly.
- Save it.
- Use Use my template in another project when you need the same structure.
What happens after saving
The structure becomes available under your saved templates. It does not replace the current project timeline.
How to manage saved templates
Open Timeline template preferences to review starter templates and manage your saved templates.
Tips & suggestions
- Use names like Short civil ceremony, Full day with first look or Multi-location full day.
- Save templates after the structure is proven, not while the timeline is still rough.
- Keep reusable templates clean and general.
