What this article covers
Save a project timeline as a template when you want to reuse its structure for another wedding.
When to save a template
Save a template when a project has a repeatable structure, not just a finished client plan.
Good templates are based on coverage type, ceremony type, location complexity or your normal working style.
What is saved
A template stores the reusable structure only: the Timeline sections, the moments in order, a duration per moment, and the linked shots with their priorities.
Project-specific data never travels into a template: no client names, dates, locations, vendors, notes, times or checked-off progress. Start and end times are stored as durations only. Notes you write in the template editor itself are general instructions and do stay in the template.
Steps
- Open the project timeline you want to reuse.
- Review the timeline moments.
- Click Save as template.
- Name the template clearly.
- Save it.
- Choose the template in another project when you need the same structure.
What happens after saving
The structure becomes available under My templates. It does not replace the current project timeline.
Manage saved templates from the Templates library.
