Add a contact

Wedding Desk is currently in beta. These guides describe the workflows that are available now. Some articles are still being expanded with fuller instructions, screenshots and video.

What this article covers

Use Contacts for reusable people, companies and locations. Use Vendors for the role that a person or company has in one wedding project.

Steps

  1. Open Contacts.
  2. Click Add contact.
  3. Enter the name or company.
  4. Add role, email, phone, website or social links if needed.
  5. Add address or notes if the contact record needs them.
  6. Save the contact.
  7. Open a project and add the contact as a vendor when it is part of a wedding.

What happens after saving

The contact becomes reusable. You can select it later when adding a project vendor, instead of typing the same details again.

Tips & suggestions

  • Keep reusable notes general.
  • Put wedding-specific notes on the project vendor instead.
